On Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the historic Palazzo Panitteri in Sambuca di Sicilia, Patricia Tóth, winemaker at Planeta, will be honored with the Donne&Vino Award. Now in its 13th edition, the award celebrates female excellence in the wine industry and recognizes the role of women in expressing the identity of the land through high-quality wine and a cultural vision of winemaking.
An engineer in Food Sciences with a specialization in wine, beer, and spirits, Patricia joined the Planeta team in 2005 following formative experiences in Friuli, Piedmont, and her native Hungary. She initially managed the Buonivini and Dorilli wineries, later leading the launch of new estates on Mount Etna and in Capo Milazzo, where she now oversees all production activities.
Her work fully reflects the company’s values: precision, research, and a deep respect for the land. In addition to her technical role, Patricia is also part of Planeta’s Business Intelligence team, supporting both commercial strategy and public relations activities.
The award ceremony will feature several speakers, including Giuseppe Cacioppo, Mayor of Sambuca di Sicilia; Gunther Di Giovanna, President of the Strada del Vino Terre Sicane; Gori Sparacino, Director of the Italian Wine Roads Federation; Leo Ciaccio, National Vice President of Città del Vino; Roberta Urso, Regional Delegate of Le Donne del Vino; and Vito Bentivegna, Director of the Regional Institute of Wine and Oil.
