"Mesa” means table in portuguese. The restaurant had its origen in conversations between the partners about human relations, gastronomy and pleasure. Mesa is the attempt to define hospitality, essential ingredient for own recipe in wanting to give pleasure and comfort.
Located in a large and bright apartment at Foz, blessed with great views to the city park and the atlantic, Mesa provides a comfortable and intimate environment in which the owner and Chef Luis Americo develops his art of hospitality. The menus represent a fusion between the tradiotional portuguese cuisine and the challenge of new ingredients and aromas, emphasizing the simplicity and flavor. The bar and wine menus express the selections of the various partners, suppliers and friends that transmit to us the best of their knowledge. The space, decorated by Margarida and Mario de Sousa, displays a palette of warm colors and a stylish mix of classic and rustic pieces. Thus, from the selection of wines and gastronomic offer to the hospitality of the team led by Susana Malheiro, Mesa aims to enhance the quality of catering in Oporto.
