Grape harvest 2007

The grape harvest has begun! It has started precisely from our Chardonnay; it has thus got off to a really good start. The bunches are in a perfect sanitary state. The quality of the grapes is at present excellent and the climatic conditions are favourable. Early grape harvest? Certainly not; on the contrary, we mean to give the lie to those who state this. Actually, we are in line with 2005 and, at a first estimate, even late in comparison with many other previous vintages. Last winter and spring were characterized by the alternation of warm, dry periods and fresher, rainy periods. Chardonnay is our first vine to be harvested, a vine which has served as a forerunner on several an even symbolic occasions.
