The Gambero Rosso, continuing in its efforts of development and promotion of the most important Italian wines in the world, has decided to organize the Roadshow to accompany a selected group of wine producers through some european key markets. The idea of the Roadshow is due to the need of explaining the main changes that Italy - as a wine producer nation – has faced over the last 20 years, undergoing a huge transformation in the techniques of vines and wine production and leading to the rediscovery of Italian vines. Thanks to the production of quality Italian wines, found almost everywhere today, the world is now looking to Italy with more and different interests. The Roadshow has various stages through the main european markets:

62 companies have already joined the roadshow, and together with Gambero Rosso they will promote a positive message and image around the world. The various stages will begin with a technique tasting in which producers can submit their wines to experts, operators and local press.

Sicilia en primeur is an international event that takes place every year in Sicily and it's entirely dedicated to presenting a preview of Sicilian wines. Protagonists of the event are the wines of the last vintage, still being refined, exceptionally drawn from casks and barrels, which are matched with wines from the previous years thus providing for the assessment of the experts the best of Sicilian production. Sicilia en primeur involves journalists from around the world selected among the most important publications in the field. The event, unique of its kind in Sicily, it’s a bridge between the cutting-edge companies that drive the rebirth of sicilian viticulture with regional national and international press, combining wine tasting with visits in the wineries through the different terroirs of Sicily. Sciacca will host the next edition of Sicilia en Primeur from 04th ti 07th of March. The location will be the Rocco Forte Verdura Golf & Spa Resort, a luxury oasis recently opened where Sicily en Primeur will celebrate the seventh anniversary.

VitignoItalia born in Naples in 2005 as the first national exhibition dedicated to wines from native grapes traditional Italian. The event has gained a respectable position in view of the national wine fairs. Choose the south of Italy as the location has meant moving the national and international attention on emerging wine regions. Today VitignoItalia represents the second Italian trade fair after Vinitaly in Verona, not on the numbers, but for the quality of exhibitors, events and concrete business opportunities. Also this year VitignoItalia has chosen as its location, the fourteenth-century Castel dell 'Ovo on the waterfront of Naples: a strong turn to add excitement to the wine-business.
